Daonda Auto Glass Launches Headquarters Certified ‘Glass Repair Technician’ Qualification
Daonda Auto Glass (CEO Lee Jae-cheon) has launched the ‘Glass Repair Technician’ qualification. Glass restoration technology first performs ‘partial restoration' for windshield damage caused by flying stones, and then replaces it if it cannot be restored.
The qualification was launched to foster advanced technicians to service these vehicles, prevent the production of unskilled technicians, and lead overseas technology. The glass repair technician qualification is divided into three levels, Master, Certified, and Qualified, depending on experience, and each level can be obtained by passing the written and practical certification test after completing the training program course presented by the Daonda Glass Repair Technology Committee. The certification training is an intensive course that enables technicians to repair various types of damage to all vehicles based on standardized repair techniques and consists of three days of basic training and two weeks of practical tests, and there is an annual work experience limit for the higher levels of certification.
The written test consists of a test based on the ‘Laminated Automotive Glass Repair Technology Standard‘ and the practical test is a rigorous process that requires proficiency in GLASWELD and DELTA KIT equipment.Meanwhile, overseas certificates to promote the introduction of advanced glass restoration technology will also be issued through Daonda Auto Glass from August this year, and consist of ’NWRD Certified Glass Repair Technician‘, ’DELTA KITS Certified Glass Repair Technician‘, and “GLASWELD Certified Glass Repair Technician'.CEO Lee Jae-chun said, "Overseas glass restoration technology has always been advanced, but in Korea, the technology is declining due to the lack of a proper education system and educational institutions.
We will continue our mission as a proper service and educational institution aimed at fostering professional technicians and developing premium resins, not fostering indiscriminate franchises.” 밝혔다.psc@lcnews.co.kr출처 : License News (https://www.lcnews.co.kr)
