Daonda Auto Glass, Franchise Registration Complete
[Good Morning Economy = Reporter Park Seon-ha] Daonda Auto Glass announced on the 8th that it has completed its franchise registration.Daonda Auto Glass, specializing in windshield restoration and replacement, is a professional company that offers restoration services for windshields damaged in various ways by stones kicked up while driving, rather than immediately replacing them. As ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and autonomous driving technology advance, automotive windshields are becoming increasingly expensive, making glass restoration even more sought after.
Compared to the high cost of replacing the entire windshield, it is economical at one-fourth the price and environmentally friendly as it produces no waste. The importance of windshield replacement is also becoming increasingly prominent in conjunction with autonomous driving technology.
The windshield is a core component constituting 45% of the vehicle's structural strength, requiring robust attachment. The performance of the urethane adhesive used during body integration and the necessity of manual maintenance are critical. Accordingly, Daonda Auto Glass has signed a technical training MOU with Henkel Korea, a German-based global manufacturer of urethane adhesives for automotive glass, to provide technicians with theoretical and practical training in manual maintenance.
The training program covers both theoretical learning about urethane's physical properties and the critical importance of automotive windshields, as well as practical exercises in urethane application and glass replacement. Considering that the importance of restoration and replacement directly impacts driver safety, Daonda Auto Glass has established its own Glass Repair and Replacement Technical Committee and operates a certification system. Only technicians who complete the training and pass the certification system can become franchise owners. Regular recertification tests maintain the quality of technicians, while ethical guidelines ensure the quality of service provided to consumers.
Lee Jae-cheon, CEO of Daonda Auto Glass, stated, “We have established a transparent startup system through the registration of our information disclosure statement. We plan to increase the number of verified technicians and franchise locations. Windshield restoration and replacement is a field rich in future vision, intertwined with future vehicle and eco-friendly vehicle technologies, and its importance will become even more prominent. As professional technicians, we will approach this business with a mission to ensure driver safety.”.
