Daonda Auto Glass: Establishment of Basic Regulations for Glass Repair and Replacement Technical Certification and Ethics

License News = Park Se-Chang | Daonda Auto Glass, a franchise company that provides auto glass restoration and replacement services nationwide, has established basic rules for qualifications and ethics.

The announcement was made at the 4th National Daonda Auto Glass Merchant Seminar held on the 23rd of this month.

An official from the Glass Repair and Replacement Technology Committee said, “The certification system and code of ethics have been finalized to provide standards for automotive glass repair and replacement technology. It is expected to secure the professionalism of technicians who perform glass restoration and prevent the indiscriminate cultivation of unqualified technicians in the domestic market.

To maintain certification, only those who have completed the basic training course and passed the certification examination can work, and the certification period is two years.”The background is that D001-2020, Daonda Automotive Glass Repair Technology Standard, is based on the Repair Of Laminated Automotive Glass Standard (ROLAGS), the industry's best practice laminated automotive glass repair standard (the U.S. national standard for automotive glass repair training), and is based on following the repair techniques.

D002-2020, Daonda Automotive Glass Replacement Technique Standard, is based on the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS), the U.S. standard for automotive glass replacement safety, and was created to improve practices and raise the level of professionalism in current glass replacement techniques and to promote public awareness of the need for safe replacement procedures to reduce the risk of injury and death in motor vehicle crashes.

The Code of Ethics was established to enhance the ethical consciousness and sense of mission of certified technicians by providing ethical regulations and various guidelines to be followed by Daonda Auto Glass's auto glass repair and replacement technology certified technicians, thereby improving the status of auto glass repair and replacement technicians. In the future, all certified technicians of Daonda Auto Glass will take pride in being glass repair and replacement technicians in accordance with the technical standard regulations and the Code of Ethics and pledge to do their best for the benefit of customers by taking responsibility for the services provided to customers.

“Through the continuing education program for our certified technicians, we will continue to address the ever-changing and dynamic market for auto glass repair and replacement. We will continue to raise the professional standards and improve the skills of our certified technicians so that they can maintain and develop their skills to ensure that consumers receive quality services.”.

The certification system is a standard set by Daonda Auto Glass, and not all auto glass companies follow this standard. However, for the first time in the domestic industry, the standardized technology and ethical regulations have been established to ensure that consumers can trust the technical skills of the certified technicians.

The details of the certification system and certified merchants can be found on the Daonda Auto Glass official website.
